Event & radar context

The surveyed tornado passed through the countryside east of Voltana. The study distinguishes its convergent damage path from nearby straight-line wind damage, including damage in Alfonsine itself. The IF3 classification follows the International Fujita scale. This viewer shows the observed rain-rate evolution of the parent supercell.

Interpreting the rating

F, EF and IF are different damage-rating scales. Original source labels are preserved. Badge colours group the numerical categories for browsing; they do not imply identical wind thresholds. Radar products do not directly establish the damage rating.
